Alyse joined Speechcare in 2018 after graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology in 2014. Alyse has previously completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and a Master of Clinical Physiology (Griffith University).

Alyse has worked in private, not-for-profit and government settings where she has gained experience working with a wide range of adult and paediatric clients. Alyse has a special interest in working with school-aged children experiencing language and literacy difficulties.

Alyse is committed to ensuring her professional knowledge is up-to-date and evidence-based.

Alyse is trained in the Sounds-Write program, a synthetic and systematic phonics program. You can find information on this program at the following website: www.sounds-write.co.uk. Alyse is also trained in the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Program, Talk for Reading and Talk for Writing.

Alyse also has experience working with paediatric and adult clients with voice disorders, and has attended professional development in this area.

Alyse is passionate about helping children discover a love of reading, language and story-telling and believes all children can be supported to have a happy and successful school journey.
