Daisy Finlay

Daisy has a Bachelor of Languages and Linguistics (BLangLing) and a Master of Speech Pathology (MSpPath) from Griffith University.
Daisy works closely with children experiencing difficulties and differences with communication and provides treatment that champions their unique strengths. She has special interests in speech-sound difficulties, language difficulties, gestalt language processing and neurodiversity affirming practice.
Daisy has participated in training focused on the impact of trauma and trauma-informed therapy. She also has completed training to understand and provide therapy to children with Persistent Drive for Autonomy (PDA) profiles. She works with young children with disabilities supporting use of Assistive Technology (AAC). Daisy is trained in Sounds-Write, an evidence-based literacy intervention, and The SHAPE CODING (TM) system for oral and written language.
Daisy provides affirming and strengths-based assessments to support the autism diagnostic process (see the Resources page for more details about Gold Standard Autism Assessment). With a focus on prioritising the lived experience of the people she works with, Daisy empowers clients to be confident in their communication and identity.
