About Jacki
Jacki is a passionate and values-driven Occupational Therapist committed to social justice and supporting individuals, families, and communities to realise their potential through meaningful participation in the the things they need, want, and are expected to do.
Grounded in person-centred and strengths-based practice, Jacki aims to support children and families to achieve their goals and enhance overall wellbeing. Her background in relational and community engagement, alongside formal training in occupational therapy, informs a holistic, collaborative, and evidence-based approach to practice.
Jacki holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) from Griffith University and is a member of Occupational Therapy Australia. She has experience working with children in educational settings and supporting participation across school, and community environments.
Prior to qualifying as an Occupational Therapist, Jacki worked extensively in community-based roles alongside individuals with learning differences, mental health conditions, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. She has supported individuals and groups to promote engagement in education, employment, and social connection as key foundations for health and wellbeing.
Jacki is particularly passionate about collaborative practice and meaningful goal-setting with children and families. She works alongside other allied health professionals to address occupational challenges and enhance participation, confidence, and satisfaction in daily life.
Outside of work, Jacki enjoys engaging in occupations that foster growth, connection, and joy. You might find her pottering in the garden, making compost, weaving baskets, riding her bicycle, or preparing nourishing meals for her family.
