DAYCARE PARTNERSHIPS
SpeechCare in Daycares – Coming Soon!
We believe every child deserves the best start in life — and that includes building strong communication skills from day one.
That’s why SpeechCare now partners with local daycares to bring speech therapy expertise right where it’s needed most. Through federal and uplift funding, we can offer:
- On-site speech pathologist visits – our consultant “speechies” work directly with children, educators, and families.
- Lifetime access to online training – practical, evidence-based strategies that educators can revisit anytime.
- In-person professional development (PD) workshops – hands-on sessions covering speech and language development, understanding behaviours as communication, and effective classroom management.
This new service helps daycares create communication-rich, well-managed learning environments — so every child can thrive, play, and learn with confidence.
UNIVERSITIES
We are proud to have established placement partnerships with:
- The University of Queensland (UQ)

We also welcome enquiries from students at other universities across Australia who are seeking placement opportunities focused on paediatrics and neurodiversity-affirming practice.
University of Queensland
SpeechCare is proud to collaborate with the University of Queensland on pioneering projects that reflect our commitment to neurodiversity-affirming, evidence-based practice.
“Why Reward Charts Don’t Work—Now What?”
In partnership with UQ, SpeechCare is developing a free, practical resource aimed at educators who work with neurodivergent children. Titled “Why Reward Charts Don’t Work—Now What?“, this guide explores why traditional extrinsic motivators often fall short and how educators can shift toward strength-based, connection-focused strategies. Designed with input from neurodivergent individuals, families, and educators, the resource will be available in quick-access, classroom-ready formats—making it easy to implement real, inclusive change.
Upcoming Research: Neurodiversity-Affirming Autism Assessments
SpeechCare is also collaborating with UQ on groundbreaking research into autism assessment practices. This project seeks to develop and validate neurodiversity-affirming approaches that go beyond deficit-focused models. By centering lived experience and co-designing with autistic individuals and their families, we aim to create tools that honour strengths, support self-identity, and provide respectful, holistic insights into each individual’s communication profile.
Griffith University – Partnering for Literacy
Speechcare has proudly collaborated with Griffith University to develop free, evidence-based literacy resources. This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting future educators and clinicians, while contributing to the broader education community. By working alongside respected teaching and training institutions, Speechcare helps bridge research and practice for real-world impact.
