About Lauren

Lauren is a warm and compassionate counsellor. She has completed a Masters in Counselling and a four month placement where she was able to support neurodivergent children and adults. Lauren loves to use an eclectic approach so that she can provide individualised support and tailor each intervention to the client’s needs.

Lauren has also completed a Bachelor of Business at QUT and for over 7 years has worked in administration at a children’s clinic that provides Speech, OT and Physio to neurodivergent children.

Lauren is  community minded and in the past has volunteered with the Pyjama Foundation and other organisations. She’s an advocate for mental health and has participated in causes including the Push Up Challenge and Beyond Blue’s Big Blue Table that helps to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Lauren has a neuro-diversity affirming, culturally safe and trauma-informed approach to therapy. She is very motivated to work with each individual to help them to feel understood and that they are not alone in their struggles. Lauren’s goal is to collaborate with her clients to create a future where they can feel confident in who they are and their ability to overcome any challenge.

Outside of Speechcare…
Lauren has a blue belt in karate. She loves spending time with her partner, friends and family and her little cavoodle Loki. She also loves exploring new restaurants and LOVES ice cream and other desserts.
