About Maya
Maja is a thoughtful and compassionate Speech Pathologist with a strong foundation in both psychology and communication sciences. She holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology) and a Master of Speech Pathology Studies from the University of Queensland. Her background gives her a unique lens into human behaviour, identity, and connection—skills she brings into every therapy session.
Before becoming a Speech Pathologist, Maja worked in behaviour support and inclusion roles, helping children in school environments engage meaningfully with their learning and thrive alongside their peers. Her work is grounded in neurodiversity-affirming values, with a strong focus on authenticity, identity development, and connection.
Maja supports clients of all ages in achieving meaningful, functional goals across language, literacy, and communication. She is passionate about building confidence and capacity, not only in her clients, but also in their families and support teams. Maja believes that therapy should fit within a client’s real-world context and bring long-lasting, life-enhancing outcomes.
